Nicola and Samantha attended the Lab Innovations Exhibition in Birmingham to get some ideas of what industry are doing with relation to the use of IoT in the lab. We were given a tour of a sustainable lab, spoke to lots of ELN vendors about voice interaction in the lab …
In August, Nicola and Samantha took part in an interview with members of the Pistoia Alliance based on their work at the Pistoia Hackathon on using voice in the laboratory. This interview was featured in an article in Scientific Computing World. The full article can be found here.
At the end of July the Talk2Lab Team joined forces with some other members of Chemistry at the University of Southampton to run a training session on the University of Southampton developed ELN LabTrove.
In Summer 2018, Jeremy Nicola and Samantha joined forces with our Bournemouth University counterparts to run a ‘Linking the Physical and Digital’ Workshop at the Digital Economy Summer School 2018. Our presentation can be found here.
Nicola and Samantha presented Talk2Lab via poster at the Centre for Internet of Things and Pervasive Systems (C-IoT) at the University of Southampton. This was a very interesting event and we spoke to many different researchers about Talk2Lab. The poster can be downloaded from here.
